Description
This lecture will introduce the basic physics of dense nuclear matter and its role in neutron stars. Emphasis will be placed on the equation of state, matter composition, and thermodynamic properties relevant for astrophysical applications. The lecture will also include a hands-on introduction to the MUSES cyberinfrastructure, where participants will learn how to generate and analyze equation-of-state tables and explore dense-matter models in practice.
